AXA partners with Solutions Middle East to deploy OpenText’s RightFax so as to automate fax based document delivery across the enterprise

With 52 million clients, 120,000 employees, and 400,000 shareholders across the world, AXA is one of the leading health insurance companies in the world.

AXA on a daily basis receives and sends out thousands of medical documents and reports as fax for processing medi-claims. Their people were using manual fax machines to send out these mission critical documents to its agents, hospitals, and AXA’s relevant medical authorities. In their business, turn around time for review and approval for any claim is very critical. But busy and clogged standalone legacy fax machines were impeding rather than promoting AXA’s business purpose. Also, manual touch-point in storing or retrieving paper based medical documents in vast storage spaces was resulting in the inability to find the right document at the right time and the documents would also tend to get misplaced or lost. Apart from this, the client was also bearing the cost of maintenance of standalone fax machines, paper, printing, and postal charges. The need to build leaner business functions forced AXA to seek a seasoned technology partner who could not only help them identify the right technology solution but also help them deploy the same.

Solutions ME, one of the most trusted technology providers in the Middle East region partnered with AXA to replace their standalone fax machines and automate their enterprise wide document delivery. Nagarjuna, Project Manager at Solutions ME helped AXA with end-to-end installation of RightFax Enterprise Server 9.4 from Open Text. This enabled them to receive and send fax messages from virtually any application.

RightFax is a proven and easy-to-use solution that is specially designed to meet large document delivery and receipt needs for organizations and industries. RightFax servers are highly available and the load balancing ability enables no down time while transmitting or receiving fax messages.

RightFax Enterprise Server 9.4 enabled AXA to not only facilitate e-document delivery but also consolidate fax messages centrally, thus helping them realize a quick value from their technology investment. Using RightFax a patient’s request would automatically route to the concerned medical approving authority in AXA. By electronically reviewing the documents AXA can now capture the requested information in their insurance application. Doctors can quickly approve or reject the request and electronically send a fax response back to the medical institutions. Other benefits include:

  • Ability to send, receive, and manage documents directly from desktop, email, and other business applications
  • Accurately tracking and monitoring of internal workflows
  • Increased productivity and enterprise wide visibility into daily communications
  • Seamless integration between departments and various systems and applications
  • Elimination of paper based processing
  • Central document tracking for control, audit, security and integrity of information
  • Reduced processing errors and time
  • Reduced ‘Time-to-respond’ from days to minutes
