Forest City selects OpenText’s Right Fax to streamline its document delivery mechanism
Forest city is a USD 10.9 billion publicly traded real estate company. Since 1920 the company develops, acquires, owns and manages commercial and residential real estate properties through out United States.
Forest City’s portfolio includes nearly 200 retail, residential, office and hotel properties. A team comprising of district managers and property managers work together to lease the spaces owned or operated by Forest City. Every day a district manager has to send multiple 30 pager documents to more than 15 property managers. These critical documents facilitate supervision and help property managers to efficiently run the assigned properties.
Earlier the district manager had to manually fax each document through one of the four stand alone fax machines. The entire process of transmission to acknowledgement would take around 20 minutes and the district manager had to repeat the same task multiple times in a day! Busy fax machines, unattended paper jammed machines; risk of errors, delayed deliveries was definitely not delivering the required operational efficiency.
Therefore Forest City wanted to completely automate their fax based deliveries. They were looking for a solution that could accurately route messages from individual desktops to the fax server. Thus making Forest City a more productive place to work.
RightFax Enterprise Server - the Electronic Fax Server and Document Delivery Solution from Open Text provided a proven easy-to-use solution to meet the document delivery and receipt needs of Forest City.
RightFax servers are highly available and the load balancing ability enables no down time while transmitting or receiving fax messages. This makes RightFax very reliable and has the capacity to grow with the business. The installation of RightFax enabled Forest City to send, receive, and manage documents directly from desktop, email, and other business applications. Besides securing a centralized digital automated faxing solution, Forest City also experienced significant cost reductions, reduced transaction times from 20 minutes to just a few seconds. |
